A sorcerer is a powerful spell flinger that channels the elements and can summon menacing daedric companions to do their fighting for them. Storm Calling, Dark Magic, and Daedric Summoning are a sorcerer’s trees, and each one has its own strengths and weaknesses.

Storm Calling will be the go to skill line for the caster who wants to dish out a lot of damage. The spell Lightning Splash will cause a pool of electric energy to be created that deals damage to nearby enemies, whereas the ultimate skill Overload will imbibe the sorcerer’s normal attacks with powerful lightning energy. While the tree is very offensive oriented, it also does have some good utility spells as well. For example, Bolt Escape will allow players to teleport forward and stun nearby enemies, giving both a great method for entry as well as escape. Due to its damage oriented nature, this is a great DPS tree for both pvp and pve circumstances.

Dark Magic sacrifices a bit of the damage one would get with Storm Calling for even more utility and crowd control. Rune Prison seals and disorients an enemy to take them out of the fray, while a spell like Repulse will knock enemies backwards and snare them for a short time. With the ultimate spell Negate magic, Dark Magic Sorcerers will be able to dispel enemy effects and silence any nearby spell casters. They’ll also be able to set traps and trade stamina for health and magic. It is true that there aren’t as many damage dealing options as the other two trees, so unless they’re rolling around with a dedicated damage dealer, they might want to mix things up with another more damage oriented skill line.

Daedric Summoning will allow a sorcerer to call upon powerful minions to their bidding, and the two main pets they’ll have will be the Unstable Familiar and the Winged Twilight. With these two, they’ll sacrifice some of their own Magicka while the pets are alive, but it’ll be worth it to have an extra helping hand or two in battle. They’ll also be able to summon magic armor and create a shield that surrounds them self and their minions that absorbs the amount of damage taken. Daedric Summoning is a great line for soloing, as sorcerers will always have an extra body between their enemies and themselves, but it will be useful in other situations as well.

Keep in mind that in Elder Scrolls Online players won’t be stuck to one tree. So while individual trees might have their own strengths, they might find that they personally excel with some mixture of the three.

Elder Scrolls Online Class Overview

The article below covers only some parts of classes in the Elder Scrolls Online . For something more extensive, I would recommend this manual which was put together by a group of expert gamers. It's a leveling guide slash game walkthrough that focuses on power leveling and strongest build for 4 classes. It helped me advance through the game with in-depth tips and expert advice. There are four classes in The Elder Scrolls Online. Each class can specialize in a variety of roles and use whichever weapon types and armor types they prefer, but each class also has a unique feel and playstyle. Each class has three class skill lines to pick and choose active and passive abilities from which will help each individual character stand out from each other.

Templar

The Templar is a holy warrior who uses the power of the sun to smite enemies, protect their allies and heal themselves and everyone around them when the need arises. Templars are a flexible eso class that can choose to go all-out offensively as either a ranged class or a melee class or can choose to heal their allies or take on the role of a tank. Their three skill lines allow them to pick and choose various defensive, healing and offensive talents.

The Templar is also one of the game’s pure healing classes and excels in both group situations and solo situations. Their soloing capabilities and healing abilities make them a fantastic asset to any instance or dungeon environment. Templars may find themselves healing on occasion if no other class is available to do so.

Sorcerer

The Sorcerer is primarily a caster who can can choose between various types of purely offensive talents and abilities or skills that are more supportive in nature. They are also ESO’s only pet-based class. They have one full skill line dedicated to pets and pet damage. Pets are useful for helping the Sorcerer solo and level quickly but are generally not tuned with group gameplay in mind.

Despite the fact that the Sorcerer is primarily a caster, they are still extremely flexible in nature. By swapping between various staff weapons, they change which elemental spells they use and can even quickly turn into a healer by equipping a restoration staff. The main offensive elements are ice, fire and lightning. The Sorcerer can also equip all types of weapons and armor to increase their flexibility, survivability and combat options.

Nightblade

The Nightblade is the rogue/assassin class in Elder Scrolls Online. They can equip all types of weapons and armor, but they are most proficient when dual wielding daggers, one-handed axes or swords. They are masters of stealth and sneaking and can even sneak mid-combat and attack enemies when behind the shadows.

The three skill lines for Nightblades are based around dealing damage, utility and self-heals and damage-over-time abilities. Nightblades can mix talents and passives to create builds efficient for soloing, leveling, grouping and doing as much damage as possible. They are most proficient at dealing high amounts of single-target damage.

Dragonknight

Dragonknights are the iconic warrior class of Elder Scrolls Online and can either serve as a tank or a hard-hitting melee DPS class. They can use all different types of weapons and armor. The three skill lines for Dragonknights are divided among mitigating and avoiding damage, DPS and utility and support. The utility line is based off earth elemental attacks while the DPS line is based off fire abilities and iconic dragon-themed abilities.

While DPS Dragonknights will typically wish to use standard melee weapons such as two-handed swords, axes or maces or dual wield, they can also use weapons such as a fire staff to expand their fire-based arsenal and deal large amounts of damage. While tanking, Dragonknights can use DPS weapon styles or use a one-handed weapon and a shield. Dragonknights deal a large amount of area-of-effect damage especially and are fantastic solo levelers and allies for dungeons and groups.

The Elder Scrolls Online is a Massively Multiplayer Online (MMO) game. It’s a spin-off of the popular The Elder Scrolls (TES) series of video games. Unlike other MMO, you are free to develope your class to whatever you want to be. There are four classes in the game which are Dragonknight, Nightblade, Templar and Sorcerer. The warrior class would be the Dragonknight. They are built for melee combat, and possess skills that help in combat only. The Nightblade would be considered an assassin type. The Templar would be a Healer, and the Sorcerer as the name suggests is a Mage. Each class will have their own unique skill lines, but they could have the same skill line from weapon, guild and so on.

Which is the best support class?
In case of using skills to determine alone, the Sorcerer wins. Many people would think that the Templar should be better at support with their numerous skills to heal or buff. They are all important, but the Sorcerer could support more as this class is good at both dealing damage and supporting allies.

mage with storm spellMaster of ESO class the sorcerer is able to keep all their friends’ hands clean and keep them away from the danger of melee combat. The sorcerer has numerous powerful damage dealing spells to kill hordes of enemies at distance or defending magics too keep allies away from danger as well. Spells like Encase, Repulse or Daedric Mines are very good for stopping enemy movement. Plus, enemy’s magical attack could be easily negated by Sorcerer’s skill called “Negate Magic“.

With Winged Twilights and Storm Atronachs, the Sorcerer could summon powerful minions from thin air to help them fight hand to hands. There are a lot of skills to improve attributes. Overload and Surge are good at incresing damage while Lightning Form giving higher armor ratings while dealing damage to nearby enemies at the same time. Important resources for keep spamming spells like Magicka could be replenished fastly with Blood Magic, Dark Exchange and Daedric Protection will take care of these needs.

The Sorcerer is truly a versantile class. While the DragonKnight or Templar are busy with tanking, they’ll get the most support from the Sorcerer.

Best ESO Class for Solo Experience

Trying to figure out which class is best for a solo adventure is easy. It may differ depending on the person, but one thing is for certain; there is only one class that encompasses every skill necessary to ensure your character’s personal survival is kept at the highest standard. The Nightblade class is the best choice for those lone wolf types. Not only are your skills geared towards speed, rather than strength, but the Nightblade class is renown for the ability to survive through a skillful combination of cunning and tricky fighting styles.

The skill lines associated with the Nightblade class speak for themselves. You have the choice between Assassin, Siphoning, and Shadow. Sure, some of the characteristics associated with this class may not be the most positive, but that’s the point of choosing this line of work for your character. The Nightblade class is meant to look out for themselves, which is what makes them the best choice for working on a solo mission, rather than having to look out for and work with others. This does not necessarily mean that to choose the Nightblade class in a group will mean that you cannot help out. It simply means that this class may very well be the most flexible class type you could hope to have.

Stealth is key with the Nightblade class. The Assassination and Shadow skill lines highlight this fact well. The Nightblade class is usually associated with the Dark Brotherhood, due to its affiliation with these skill lines. Still, whether you would hope to join the Dark Brotherhood or not, you have the potential to survive the longest with this class. This is thanks to the potentially skillful utilization of stealth, speed, and wit.

It’s important to take into account about your own reasoning for choosing your particular class type. It should match with your favorite gaming style that is varied from person to person. If you love to slay a large group of enemies at once, you should go with the class has a lot of crowd control abilities such as the sorcerer. On the other hand, if you love to support your friend instead of killing monsters, templar might be good for you due to its abilities to provide life support for their fellow players. Then again, the best advice is to stick with what you know best. It means that you should play with something you’re most familiar with and when it is appropriate to step beyond your realm of comfort to learn something new and challenging.

Three Skill Trees of the Sorcerer Class

In addition, if you do create a Sorcerer as your character, do start out with a basic destruction staff along with a restoration staff for healing. Not only can you use those sorcerer abilities in the combo, but now you can also deal damage in between those abilities with simple destruction stuff, which by clicking, you release 1 fire ball, and by holding down your mouse and charging up the attack, you end up releasing 3 fire balls. To accompany all of this, are the 3 skill trees that we’ll be able to branch off: Dark Magic, Daedric Summoning, and Stormcalling.

1. Dark Magic
Dark Magic primarily focuses on CC, with numerous amounts of snares and traps to control what their enemy is able to do.
2. Daedric Summoning
Daedric Summoning is when the caster can draw forth from oblivion and have powerful allies aid him in battle.

3. Strormcalling
Stormcalling is just raw energy to smite enemies and deals huge amounts of damage.

teso sorcerer spellsWith all these options, there are infinite possibilities on how you can customize your Sorcerer. You could potentially go the stereotypical way and go light armor and range spellcasting, which is what most MMOs will have you do if you were to select the Sorcerer. This will give you the most magicka and presumably buffs, because light armor does aid a Sorcerer. Then again, we could see people going the Battle Major route, in which they go 2-handed weapon and heavy armor, so that they can fight and deal good basic attacks and have destructive magic in the palm of their hands.

What’s great about Elder Scrolls Online is that at Level 15, we get the ability to weapon swap. You can go one whole loadout on one ability panel, say the light armor Sorcerer. All your skills for that setup are right there. Say you were starting to go downhill in a battle, you could use your weapon swap to have a whole other set of loadouts, so now you could potentially see the Battle Mage inside of you appear, and you’re now able to engage in melee combat.

There’s just so many possibilities. It won’t be like most MMOs, in that every class you can identify a counter, instead you’ll have to fight in combat, and then adapt to what you see, which is the really challenging part.

Elder Scrolls Online Sorcerer is a class with extraordinary control over the arcane arts and is known for its abilities to summon Daedric allies or use the natural elements to manipulate and destroy their adversaries. Although the Sorcerer is a great solo class, if you pop him down with a group, especially with the templar, that’s when we get to see his full potential in which he can sacrifice his defensive capabilities with a more offensive role; combining his own abilities to create powerful synergies with his allies.

Abilities

There are 3 known abilities of the Sorcerer, each belonging in their respective skill paths: Encase, Unstable Familiar, and Mage’s Fury.

1. Encase
Encase immobilizes an enemy directly in front of you for a short period of time. This ability is just a snare, but when used with abilities, can be used to strike down an opponent before they even get to you.

2. Unstable Familiar
Unstable Familiar summons an imp for a period of 1 minute, which will attack anything you attack, dealing a portion of your character’s weapon damage. There has been some speculation as to whether or not the time limit will be removed or increased, as it is fairly short which may discourage people from proceeding down that skill line.

3. Mage’s Fury
The next ability, Mage’s Fury, calls down lightning from the sky to impale them with magic damage, and enemies below 20% health are dealt additional damage.

Just by obtaining these 3 skills, I already see a really deadly combo. For instance, say you’re walking along and you spot a Dragonknight a little distance away. He hasn’t seen you yet, so you can immediately summon your imp with Unstable Familiar, and then snare him with Encase. Now you have your imp attacking him while he is snared. All you have to do is bring about your Mage’s Fury and stab him with lightning. As there are no cooldowns, you can keep on using this ability relentlessly, as long as you watch your magic bar. The combo may seem a little boring once repeated multiple times, but just keep in mind; you can obtain all these abilities before you even hit Level 7. Just imagine all these abilities and all the combos out there, not to mention the Ult you will get before that, which hasn’t even been stated yet.
